ACTION
Call the NC Court of Appeals and ask to be put through to Judge Griffin’s chambers, saying you have a message for him at 919 831 3600.
A script, feel free to improvise but be polite. And use the last sentence if you can.
“My name is ___ and I am a citizen of North Carolina who voted in the last election. Litigation like his undermines confidence in our elections. I lawfully voted under the laws and regulations that existed during the voting process. I want my vote to count. He is trying to overturn a free and fair election. Judge Griffin should concede this race immediately.”
The Democratic National Committee has announced legal action in North Carolina to block the Republican Party's attempt to overthrow Riggs’ victory.
Confirmation hearings begin this week and the Orange Chaos has lined up a thieves’ cabal of nominees. Call Tillis and Budd to let them know we are watching. As Axios notes, as powerful as MAGA has become, the Senate process remains an obstacle that Senate Democrats will exploit to highlight MAGA’s lies.
Tulsi Gabbard, tapped to lead the U.S. intelligence community, is a cult kook and Russian pawn;
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., chosen to be secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, is a vaccine know-nothing who would help kill Americans who need quality, science-based health care. He’s also vowed to pursue anti-abortion policies at HHS, despite his past support for reproductive rights;
Pete Hegseth, picked to be defense secretary, bluntly opposes women serving in combat roles in the military and has a documented history of sexual assault;
Arguably Trump's most controversial choice, Kash Patel for FBI director, will use the FBI to persecute the Cheeto’s perceived enemies.
Indivisible and Public Citizen, Working Families Party, and MoveOn will hold a call on January 14 at 8 pm EST to take an in-depth look at the hearings and show us how to take effective action. Sign up for the call now.
Our own Helen C.’s daughter, the tireless Kate Barr, is working to recognize the voters having their registration questioned as Judge Jefferson Griffin tries to steal a seat on the NC Supreme Court. On Tuesday, January 14, people will read the names of the over 66,000 voters whose Griffin is trying to invalidate. Names will be read in front of the N C Supreme Court BLDG in Raleigh. Please help to recognize these voters. Volunteers are needed to read names in 30-minute blocks.

A federal judge found former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani in contempt of court for failing to forfeit $148 million in assets that he owes two election workers as part of a defamation case.
OTHER NEWS
The race for chair of the Democratic National Committee is heating up, according to the New York Times. But it’s kind of meh. “Had Kamala or Biden made a call and said, ‘Look, we want to rally around X, Y, and Z,’ I may have taken an interest in someone,” said Donna Brazile, a veteran D.N.C. member who has served in the past as interim party chair. “Other than giving state parties more resources, which is as old as the Republic itself, I haven’t heard anything new.” That said, Anderson Clayton is endorsing WISDEMS Ben Wikler.
